Memorandum on Time

Re: Guidance counselor hours

According to the 2005 Memorandum of Agreement, Guidance Counselors will work an additional 10 minutes per day.

Article 6 now says:

Counselors work hours are six hours 30 minutes exclusive of lunch.

To clarify:

If the lunch period in a school is:

• 50 minutes - Counselors work seven hours 20 minutes
• 45 minutes - Counselors work seven hours 15 minutes
• 40 minutes - Counselors work seven hours 10 minutes

Also:

Counselors are still governed by Article 7B.  They do NOT cover classes, lunch duty, dismissal duty, etc.  They are NOT involved in Circular 6 issues.
